Case studies

At the first International Steering Committee held in Paris in February 2006, the majority of ISC members saw a need for a consultation which:

-1) first identifies and agrees on the current gaps and needs in the biodiversity science-policy interface, and then,
-2) explores several possible options that addresses the gaps and needs identified at multiple scales during the first part of the consultation.

The Executive Committee thus adopted an 18-month action plan for the consultation, detailed below, which will first order a number of studies (March-Nov 2006), and then, based on the outcome of these studies, propose some options and recommendations (Dec 06) and open to a broader consultation (Jan 07 - Oct 07)
